Daniel Biro returns with probably his most ambitious project to date. ‘Hotel Erika’ is an epic synth instrumental suite that harks back to the days of 1970s ‘kosmische’ electronic pioneers like Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze, Vangelis, as well as Euro-jazz experimentations.

Inspired by a past childhood holiday destination in the heart of the Slovenian Alps, Biro charts a journey through the upheavals of Eastern European history. As always, he plays all keyboards, most of them vintage analog synths, as well as his trademark Rhodes piano.

A continuous listening experience of just over 45 minutes, Biro paints a vast drama that evokes majestic landscapes contrasting with more intimate ambiences. An odyssey of the mind from sunlit childhoods to the dark forces of history. Welcome to the Hotel Erika!
